VIDEO CONFERENCES
We collaborate and evaluate our activities by holding video conferences.
3The partners had a video – conference to evaluate project activities. They discussed the following issues: nesting boxes, didactic materials concerning birds and animals in Poland, Spain and Portugal, world distribution of plants and animals, famous scientists, amazing facts concerning science. There was a brainstorming session on the topic: ‘From gunpowder to atomic bomb’. We discussed outdoor classes held in our schools as well as carried out experiments. We also compared our school gardens in different seasons and made conclusions.
VIDEO CONFERENCE - POLISH AND SPANISH SCHOOLS
VIRTUAL MOBILITIES
Before the exchange of students in Spain, the students had a virtual eTwinning mobility. They exchanged information about themselves, their families, interests and countries. They prepared a mulimedia presentation.
Virtual eTwinning mobility offers an innovative approach to enhance international education by allowing our students to connect and collaborate before engaging in physical exchanges. In a recent project, Polish and Portuguese students participated in a series of videoconferences that facilitated online collaboration on various topics. They were able to share ideas, resources, and cultural insights, effectively laying the groundwork for their eTwinning virtual mobility before the real exchange in Poland. This method not only fosters a sense of community among students but also enriches their learning experiences by exposing them to diverse perspectives.
OBSERVING NESTING BOXES AND PERFOMING THE RELATED TASKS
We observed our nesting boxes systematically. We were excited by having little baby tits in the nesting box in Poland! We did interesting tasks related to our observations.

Class participants can join the space exploration conducted by NASA during the Clipper space probe mission sent towards the largest planet in the solar system - Jupiter. Anyone who enters their name and surname on the website will be included in the data sent into space in October 2024, and will then land with it on Jupiter's icy moon called Europa in 2030.

Students of all the partner schools will join a space expedition. We are assembling a crew to send our names to NASA and then into space (link with printed confirmation of each willing participant). We will prepare a leaflet with the names of students who took part in the action. We will build paper models of the probe. We will exchange the photos among the partner schools.

Students compared the length of their countries' borders, their areas, population number, population density, and the length of the coastline. They used the collected data during computer science lessons to create appropriate graphs.

RELAX IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
RURAL BIODIVERSITY MAP
The activities of our school's students were recognized in a nationwide project run by the Earth and People Foundation.
The competition uses a modern, increasingly popular and extremely effective digital mapping tool. Digital mapping allows you to place a selected category of information on the map along with a photo and text description. This tool is increasingly used to create maps of nature's richness. Mapping is also used in citizen participation techniques to identify problems and threats.
Success in Geological and Environmental Competition
Polish student Filip took the first place in the 25th edition of the Geological and Environmental Competition "Our Earth - the natural environment yesterday, today and tomorrow" organized by the Polish Geological Institute.
During the competition, he had to demonstrate his ability to write a paper on a given topic and then answer a number of detailed questions in the field of geology and geomorphology. This success allowed him to qualify for the central competition, where he will be the only representative of our region. The national competition will take place during 3-day field workshops, during which, in addition to a knowledge test, numerous attractions await participants. Another student Zofia - a 6th grade, became a finalist of the art part of the competition. Her work titled "On the border of desert and forest" qualified for the strict regional finals and was distinguished among 260 works submitted from both Silesian and Opole voivodeships. This is Zofia’s second award in the geological competition. We would like to congratulate the students and keep our fingers crossed for their further successes.
4SUCCESS IN GEOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPETITION
Filip Hutnik, a student of Primary School No. 13 in Zawiercie, took 3rd place in the final of the three-stage Geological and Environmental Competition "Our Earth - the natural environment yesterday, today and tomorrow" organized by the Polish Geological Institute in Warsaw.
The competition of the last stage was combined with field workshops in one of the most interesting geological areas of Poland, i.e. in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
the participants had to compete in the finals, which consisted of answering numerous questions in a knowledge test on five topics:1. Paleontology
2. Rocks and minerals
3. Geological processes
4. Mineral resources of Poland
5. "At the ends of the Earth" - tasks related to the slogan of this year's edition of the competition.Filip's success in the competition is proof that passion and commitment to the “Happy science” project can lead to great results.

Students from Portuguese school took 1st and 2nd place in the 2024 National Science Competitions:

Spanish school won this award in a national contest in which the students had to solve various challenges to finally build a sustainable house with Minecraft.
