Primary School No. 13 in Zawiercie won 1st place in the national competition "Our eTwinning Project 2026" in the category for students aged 11–15 for the international project "Happy Science" (implemented together with "Happy IT"). This is an exceptional success, especially since we were the only school in Poland to receive a special prize—an interactive SmartBoard monitor, which will provide modern support for the further development of innovative education at our school.

The award ceremony took place on May 22, 2026, in the impressive venue on the 34th floor of Olivia Star in Gdańsk. The event was attended by representatives of the education sector, including the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Education, the management of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, representatives of the National eTwinning Office, boards of education, and coordinators of the awarded projects from all over Poland.

The gala had a celebratory atmosphere—following official speeches and a summary of this year's competition, the winners were announced, trophies and prizes were presented, and the event concluded with congratulations and discussions on the future of modern education.

Winning first place is a massive achievement for our entire school community. It proves that commitment, creativity, and consistent work on developing students' skills at an international level bring results that are recognized and appreciated nationwide. This success confirms that our school is among those setting the highest standards for modern education.

To further promote our projects (HAPPY SCIENCE&HAPPY IT), the National eTwinning Office team produced a professional promotional video showcasing our work. Published on national eTwinning channels, the video highlights our school as an example of good practice in using digital technology, fostering international collaboration, and integrating Erasmus+ with eTwinning. This coverage has successfully shared our project's results with teachers and schools across Poland, as well as the wider European eTwinning community.
